Obesity is the root cause for such health ailments as joint aches, back problems, muscle and bone problems, cardio-vascular diseases and even breast cancer. Its not that there isn’t enough awareness regarding this. Governments all the world and other health organizations are working towards eliminating or containing the scourge of obesity, it’s just that the efforts aren’t that aggressive as they are for diseases such as cancer or AIDS.

Obesity or the problem of uncontrolled weight gain has become a major issue in today’s world and everybody, whether it is a man or a woman, an adult or a kid, each and everybody is plagued by it. There are very few people who can be called genuinely fit. In women, this phenomenon is on the higher side as they are somewhere supposed to be and hence indulge in lesser physical activity as compared to their male counterparts. Weight loss for women becomes really tough after a certain age as the hormonal changes occurring in the body lead to an added tendency to gain weight. But these excuses or medical reasons have to be overcome because a healthy body is the key to a healthy mind and an obese body cannot be considered healthy in any way.
